Heart of Chechnya Mosque. In terms of its size and capacity, the mosque falls just a little behind Moscow Cathedral Mosque and Central Juma-Mosque in Makhachkala. It was built after the fashion of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.

Another very special part of any mosque is mihrab, the prayer alcove. Mihrab faces Mecca showing prayer's direction. Size of Heart of Chechnya's mihrab is incredible, it is more than 4 meters wide and nearly 8 meters high. Its compositional solution is unique. The mihrab's intersecting marble elements create an allusion of the alcove's infinite depth.
